Understanding how to make a quilt highly depends on mattress sizes. Knowing the sizing makes it much easier to design and make a jelly roll quilt that fits the bed perfectly. Knowing your sizing greatly determines the amount of space you will have for patterns and style for your quilt.

Standard Mattress sizing to complete a quilt Standard Mattress Sizing:

Crib : 28″ x 52″

Twin (Single) : 39″ x 75″

SHIPPING AND POSTAGE CHARGES

Posted by Sharon Fortenberry on October 3rd, 2013 in Uncategorized with Comments Off on SHIPPING AND POSTAGE CHARGES

Today I want to address the topic of shipping and postage charges.  Ok, Ok, don’t roll your eyes or shake your head!!

I know this can be a sore subject to a lot of people – me included – but I am planning on having all free shipping in the United States for the moment.  This makes it so much
easier for not only you but also for me.  I’m sorry but Canada and overseas will have to pay, but I only charge what I pay.  There are no hidden fees anywhere.

I don’t like the post office rates right now, but what can I do.  You know you can’t fight city hall!!

One thing I would like to say is that I ship worldwide.  I have already shipped to South Africa, China, Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, Greece, Spain, Portugal,
Italy, Estonia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Poland, etc.  Well you get the picture, lots of places.

The one funny thing that really sticks with me is that something I have had or have handled is in every state in the United States.  To me, that is just mind boggling.  But, I love it.  Almost as much as I love working with fabric.

Questions or comments, please feel free to email me.  I love getting mail too!!  All comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Take care until next time.
