Welcome to Platinum So N Sews Blog spot.
Hi and welcome. This is the first blog I have ever written so please be patient with me. I am going to try to tell you things that might be helpful and also let you know
when new fabrics arrive and what is going on on this end of the spectrum.
First of all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I am 64 years old. I have two sons, ages 31 and 29 which both still live at home (which, by the way, I love). I spend a lot of time with each of them and both of them and each time is special to me. They also help me with my fabrics.
My husband, Jack, is my cutter. He also, from time to time, incorporates ideas into the mix. Some of his ideas are actually pretty good.
Right now, he says I have more fabric than Wal-Mart and I actually have to agree with him. I sell the fabric out of my home and our whole master bedroom is racks of fabric!
If you have an iPad, you can face time me @ email@example.com. I will be happy to give you a visual tour of the fabric and if you have a particular one you want to see, let me know and I will pull it and show you on the iPad. The only down side is you can’t feel it!
I have been sewing since I was 16 which is a lot of years. I have always, always loved fabric and wanted my own fabric store. Well my boys say now that I do indeed have a fabric store, it’s just a virtual store (which I have to agree with).
I also work another job as nursery coordinator at our church. This is a part time job so it gives plenty of time to play with my fabrics.
Check back with me from time on the blog because you never know what I may be posting. I may give directions on how to do something or I may find a good recipe and post that.
If you have a question you would like me to answer, please feel free to shoot me a note and ask away. I will do my best to answer it for you.
I will be going to Quilt Market and Quilt Festival in Houston then end of October and you know what that means!! Yes, you are right, new fabric. In my ebay store I am running a bunch of auctions to clear out some of my extra fabric and panels. Check it out, you might find something on that end that you like.
Well, that’s about it for the first post. I hope you enjoyed reading a little about me. Once I get the hang of this, there will be lots more coming.
Thank you for your support. We’ll talk soon!!
